Early Monday, January 23, 2012: the wonderous New Moon of air-sign Aquarius is exact at 1:40 am, CST (or Tues. Jan. 22, 11:39 pm, PST). Both lights, Sun & Moon, are in fixed Aquarius 2*42; this monthly phase reveals the dark of the Moon when no sunlight is reflected; it is time for conception, renewal & the birthing of new forms. As the first New Moon of 2012 it initiates a brand new cycle, certainly on the global & universal scale, not to mention personal. The frequencies of this electromagnetic field operate at a speed that traverse wavelengths instantly, like lightning bolts…what is warp speed? We might find out.

Risk-taking, warrior Mars travels back through skillful Virgo in February, March, until April 13th when it turns Direct (forward) once again in grounded Virgo 4*. We will have lots of time to take care of business & pay attention to necessary details of living. The impulsive, competitive, eager & brave Mars part of us will need to practice patience & use energy resources to function efficiently, to be discerning, disciplined, economical, organized & conscientious in the ways we choose to serve humanity.

My New Year’s resolution is instead of saying “What’s wrong with this?” I say ”What’s right with this?” just to alleviate the negativity in my space…been doing it for a month now & it works!
New Year’s Eve & Day (Jan. 1st) with 10* steadfast Capricorn Sun, we have a lively, enthusiastic & headstrong Aries Moon gifting us with endless energetic activity; especially on the Eve when the Moon is conjunct (close to) electrical transmitter Uranus…the original, independent, unpredictable radical disrupter, which also indicates optimal intuition at work. All I Want for Christmas Is.....
The Winter Solstice, in the Northern Hemisphere, happens tonight, Wednesday, December 21, 2011, CST, at 11:30 PM when the magnificent Sun moves into the very first degree (out of 30 degrees) of Capricorn. The longest night of the year, but each day from now on will contain a little more light as we head for the Summer Solstice. What a great concept! Who came up with this anyway?!? I filled my front porch with lights & stars…Happy Solstice!

Saturday, December 10th, 2011, 8:36 AM, CST, we experience (visible in Western US & Canada) a total Lunar Eclipse taking place in the opposing electromagnetic fields of enthusiastic, fiery Sagittarius & airy, communicative Gemini. The flaring solar orb (Sun consciousness) is currently in Sagittarius at 18* exactly opposite the Lunar sphere (unconscious Moon) at 18* Gemini.
A Lunar Eclipse can only occur during a Full Moon where the exact same degree is highlighted in opposing signs. The Earth (the present) is directly in-between the Sun (future) & the Moon (past) & works with the same questions/issues from the polarity of different viewpoints. Our current needs are receiving all available solar power. We are released from the past, reaping the benefits of it, if we can break free from restrictive conditioning, habitual behavior & destructive emotional reactions. Deep unconscious material is bound to surface now, so remain flexible, cooperative & patient. Breathe alot, especially before responding to whatever/whoever shows up. Nevertheless they emphasize a focus on opening up to your intuitional be-ing, stop thinking so much, or talking too much and commit to Higher Consciousness & Truth.

The word “Cosmos” comes from the Greek “Kosmos” which translates into “order/harmony”.
Pre-Winter Solstice 2012: as our Sun passes over 27 degrees Sagittarius on December 18th, 2011, it makes a solar alignment with our Galactic Center which is at 27* Sagittarius. Continuing on its orbital path the Sun enters the 1st degree of earth sign Capricorn on December 21st, 11:30 pm, 2011, CST, which indicates the time of the exact Winter Solstice. Although this cosmic event happens every year, for the last couple of seasons transformative Pluto, potent creator & destroyer, has been in the early degrees of structured Capricorn where it will remain through 2024 radically changing the management of power. This is the background stage for the dramatic entrance of the widely advertised Winter Solstice of December 2012. (a year away as of this posting & NOT the end of the world! )

May, 2010; another transpersonal cosmic player had entered the scene! Volatile, high-frequency Uranus briefly moved into the beginning of fiery Aries, turned retrograde, went back into Pisces for a short while, then finally Uranus moved forward into cardinal Aries on March 11th, 2011, where it will be for the next seven years through 2018. Within this time/space placement, electrical Uranus in Aries will be making a series of seven exact square aspects to Pluto in cardinal Capricorn beginning in 2012 and lasting through 2015.
What are squares? A square aspect is a 90 degree mathematical angle between two orbiting planets that produces friction, tension, challenge, inner distress & internal conflict which prompts a call (more like a shout) for action. Aries & Capricorn, as two cardinal signs, refer to quick dynamic action..the cardinal mode that sets things into motion with conscious focus directed outward. Uranus square Pluto will manifest & release tremendous cosmic energies…this on-going process will facilitate extremely important turning points for us, relating to a spiritual expansion of consciousness & marking an increase of transitional shifts into a subtler dimension of existence. These extremely powerful, universal energy transmitters express personally/collectively/globally & affect our whole galaxy & beyond as new archetypes challenge the established order here…BIG TIME CHANGES! The nature of life is to move toward wholeness; Uranus & Pluto, as two of our three outer planets (Neptune is the other, but not involved in this square), play a major part of this evolutionary agenda which is to continually expand consciousness & spiritually connect or return to the Source. Uranus represents the rebel, the revolutionary…bringing radical change & freedom whether through reform, invention, revelation, discovery &/or disruption, anarchy, fanaticism. The Aries (ruled by Mars) electromagnetic field manifests actively, fearlessly, independently, impatiently, assertively & competitively in a spontaneous, enthusiastic, pioneering, initiating, eager, confident manner which can escalate into recklessness, impulsiveness, selfishness & become aggressive, argumentative, overpowering, overbearing, uncooperative & violent.

This alchemical transmutation is irreversible & inevitable…part of life.
The expression of complex Plutonian in-depth energy is extremely dynamic & intense, rising from the subconscious/ unconscious realms, acted out through behaviors that are compulsive, obsessive, secretive, hidden, subversive; it is the transcendental aspect of sexuality; energy released from the core of the subconscious. Complicated Pluto deals in power; power issues, control issues, manipulation, power struggles or most desirable..self-empowerment…or learning to control the self. This represents knowledge of what lies within on a personal level; it has power in its capacity to release vast amounts of energy. Sometimes we have to lose what we think we need in order to discover what we truly need.
Pluto will be in Capricorn through 2024. The earthy Capricorn energy symbolizes our material world, the structures, organizations, organized crime, the authorities, rules & regulations, the powerful, the corporations, the banks, the governments, (interesting note: the Shanghai Financial Center is shaped like a modern Pluto symbol.)
Capricorn (ruled by Saturn) also corresponds to accomplishment, discipline, responsibility, practicality, administrating, efficiency, organization & can express in a patient, constructive, conscientious, dependable, hard-working, realistic, cautious & ambitious manner. These qualities can degrade into controlling, conservative, rigid, fearful, distrustful ,pessimistic, overcautious, calculated, unemotional, inhibited & opportunistic ways.
June 24th, 2012 we experience the first of the seven exact squares between Uranus at 8*24 Aries & Pluto at 8*24 Capricorn. Although we came close to a few square aspects with Uranus & Pluto during the past year, it was always at least a degree off of an exact square , so we haven’t had the full impact yet.

Let the Adventure Begin
What a Thanksgiving celebration for those who participate! The planetary action will certainly be available to every soul on Earth and off.
Thursday the 24th of November for PST; in CST it is early morning Friday, Nov. 25th, at 12:10 am, when we have a powerful Sagittarius New Moon (new beginnings) & a very busy Solar Eclipse. Every Solar Eclipse occurs at the close or exact alignment with the Sun and Moon in the same degree; the Moon ( past) is lined up in-between the Sun ( future) & the Earth (current reality)…definitely an amazing opportunity to prepare for previously hidden unconscious desires or information to be suddenly revealed…it may feel like a new birth! Old issues, feelings, problems, habits, conditioning & memory-dominated reactions tend to be reawakened. Also instinctive wisdom, insights, skills, innate gifts & intuitional flashes may surface unexpectedly..(we never have control over intuition, we are simply open channels for it to operate at high frequency.)
This Solar Eclipse with both Sun & Moon at 2*37 Sagittarius is a time when past & present must come to terms before further development can proceed. Take a risk! Onward & upward fellow humans! OK, I will continue to clear out old stuff & make room for the new…perhaps literally too.
Both luminaries in adventurous, independent fire-sign Sagittarius (and we all have Sag somewhere in our birthchart) bring forth mucho enthusiasm, expansiveness, optimism, idealism, higher mental interests, love of freedom & space (inner, outer, & wide open) & enjoyment of a good time. ” Nothing in excess” is key here.
Our largest energy transmitter, spirited Jupiter, now at 1*57 Taurus, is associated with the electromagnetic field of Sagittarius & is considered the Greater Benefic of all the planets. It signifies reaching out to include more & more of the universe & its many experiences while we are seeking meaning, truth & developing ethical values. Growth & expansion, generosity, prosperity, benevolence, faith, trust, improvement, good will & positiveness are some of the basic qualities of Jupiter. Watch so they don’t expand into ” too much” or become impractical, insensitive, opinionated, tactless, extravagant, restless or dogmatic.
A Light in the Darkness
Mercury, our speedy messenger planet which operates through travel, communications, data collecting & commerce is once more turning Retrograde at 20* Sag or backward (does this approx. 3 times/year) on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24th through Dec.13th when it turns Direct at 4* Sag. Patience will be in great demand because there are often delays, detours, miscommunications, break-downs, confusion & changed plans with this event. This is also a chance to turn our thoughts deeply inward & think things over…stay flexible.
I am grateful for, among other things, that visionary Jupiter in productive Taurus, active Mars in efficient Virgo & transforming Pluto in organized Capricorn are still making a Grand Trine aspect in those grounded, practical Earth signs. Transition on Mother Earth
Thursday, November 10, 2011, at 2:16 pm CST: our active solar body, the life-force radiant Sun, at 18*05 intense Scorpio is exactly opposite the sensitive, absorbing Moon at 18*05 solid Taurus, creating a Full Moon. Most of us are aware that this is a cosmically powerful time…and yes, while the planets do NOT cause things to happen, they miraculously only mirror what is going on over here on planet Earth.
Patient, practical Taurus energy needs to be resourceful, productive & stable; holding on to who & what it values. Cathartic, complex Scorpio is all about change, metamorphosis, transforming, regeneration & letting go; in other words, rebirth.
Cosmic Neptune is leaving Aquarius, where it has been for years & is moving into the first degree of Pisces (its home space) in early February 2012, where it will travel for the next approx. 14 years. I plan on covering that subject later.

Due to circumstances in my life, I need to take a break from the biweekly blog. Early Morning on the Lake

On Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 2:56 pm, CDT, we are experiencing our New Moon in the passionate water sign of Scorpio. Both luminaries, Sun (conscious self) & Moon (the subconscious), are conjoined at 3* transformative Scorpio which represents the energy of life, death & rebirth at all levels.
No matter where you experience this New Moon in your life, it will be complex, emotional, mysterious, healing, regenerating & transforming. Cathartic energy is at work wherever we find Scorpio or Pluto, the ruling planet which deepens & intensifies whatever it touches. It also deals with intuition, strong feelings, the hidden (Pluto is the god of the Underworld) & psychological realms.
I know I’ve been releasing, eliminating & letting go of what is no longer needed… a deep, inner cleansing expressed through various symptoms; purging of massive old, crusty feelings, extreme emotions, surfacing memories & outdated thought-forms from who knows where?!… life has sped up so much & will continue to accelerate exponentially…one barely has time to regain balance, get back on your feet & out the door again!
A New Moon is always an opportunity to plant new seeds & to be open to new beginnings. The magnetic, determined, resourceful Scorpio energy offers the potential gift of self-empowerment; having control over the self as we release the need to control or have power over others. The Eagle symbol is the higher visual of Scorpio soaring above the scorpion which represents its lower nature…nothing quite as intense as the steely eye of an Eagle!
Our ego-centeredness may cause some unexpected problems in our relating style or relationship issues now but there are also harmonious aspects to this New Moon that could take the tension down a notch. Stay flexible, tolerant, cooperative, loving & forgiving…start with the self.
One recent morning Coldplay performed on TV & I had to get up… danced wildly & felt wonderfully energized…one dance at a time!

With our Sun at 18* communal Libra exactly opposite our Moon at 18* enterprising Aries, we experience the spirited Aries Full Moon on Tuesday, October 11th, 2011, at 9:05 pm, CDT.
This is the creative peak or “flowering” phase of the monthly Moon cycle where the two opposing electromagnetic fields, partnership-oriented Libra & self-oriented Aries, form a major polarity between them & the qualities each one symbolizes. Integration of both sides is needed in order to get the full benefit of the powerful Sun & Moon illumination.
The diplomatic, tactful Libra Sun is associated with sensual planet Venus, which describes what we like, what we’re attracted to & who or what we value. Venus, the mythological goddess of love & beauty, moves quickly through the zodiac & on Oct. 8th it enters the sign of passionate, intense, deeply emotional Scorpio which could make things interesting.

The potential Libran habit of procrastination or of making no decision (because it seems easier) is making a decision…eager, confident Aries will only be too happy to have its way! During this Full Moon competitive Mars is in fiery, creative, heart-centered Leo & makes harmonious aspects to the two luminaries. Whew!
Saturn plays an important role now because it sits at 20* right next to Sun at 18* Libra & opposite Moon at 18* Aries. Saturn, the universal karmic teacher, adds a dose of responsibility & seriousness to any situation; the wisdom, humility, compassion & patience that come from Saturnian life experience (maturity) can be very beneficial in helping to curb the impatience of Aries & in lending some authority to vacillating Libra.
Then there’s revolutionary Uranus in a challenging, stressful aspect to transforming Pluto which is decreasing in pressure now but only briefly before it becomes a more exact square alignment (which is a very intense, sudden-change aspect). They will move closer to this point thru 2012 until we have the first exact square between Uranus & Pluto on June 24, 2012. More on this later.
I am practicing living in the Present moment & slowing down…my nervous system needs lots of Mother Nature…

Early Tuesday, 6:08 am, CDT, September 27th, 2011, we are experiencing an extremely tumultuous Libra New Moon with both Sun & Moon at 4* serene Libra.
Peace-loving Libran energy seems so benign, but as I was drawing out the aspects (mathematical angles between the planets which manifest in various ways.. either more skillfully & harmoniously or with friction & tension) I was feeling uneasy. “Don’t be negative & fearful,” I thought. “Practice deep breathing, be in the moment, stop projecting ahead..the solar system is a mirror for us…it does not cause anything.”…so true…”relax” I tell myself. There is no controlling the Earth changes we’re in the midst of; we all feel the accelerating pressure & anxiety. On some level we chose to be born for this, so here we go! We need more than a seat-belt now. Make a commitment to do what makes you feel calmer, healthier & more centered within your busy schedule.
A New Moon symbolizes new beginnings, new birth in some form. Cooperating, diplomatic Libra, a cardinal air sign, operates mentally & socially, generating & actively initiating New Moon fresh ideas, creations or relationships that begin with conception. Considerate Libra has a need to create beauty, peace, balance & harmony. Although Libra may be cautious to avoid rocking the boat, or hesitant, indecisive & over-compromising at times, it can also portray the “iron fist in the velvet glove” when necessary. The Goddess of Love, Venus (or the Greek Aphrodite) at 15* libra is the energy transmitter that relates to the electromagnetic field of Libra, attracting & drawing to herself whatever she values. Here lies the potential to achieve the attainment of tranquility. The strong desire for equilibrium manages the ability to adapt self to ever-changing conditions.
Serious, disciplined, responsible Saturn at 18* Libra sits next to Venus, slows us down a bit & focuses our attention on important interpersonal work.
Then we have other planets doing their thing…active, energetic, impulsive Mars is adjusting to the major transformations that complex Pluto represents as it breaks down the status-quo along with disruptive, unpredictable Uranus, either in our personal lives or in the collective.
Also electrical, high frequency Uranus is opposing cerebral Mercury, the communicator, with the Sun & Moon all conjunct in early peace-loving Libra. It may be a VERY radical, liberating time of illumination & sudden-change on this New Moon where independence & individuality are heightened…revolution & rebellion &/or freedom & reform?! Our expanding intuition can be channeled but not controlled; nervous systems will undoubtedly be bombarded…good gracious! I need to get out in Nature! I hope you have an opportunity to do that too.
