Just 4 days after the exact challenging square between Uranus & Pluto on May 20th, we experience a Full Moon & Lunar Eclipse! The Sun at 4* Gemini is opposite the Full Moon at 4* Sagittarius on Friday, May 24th, 2013, 11:25 pm, CDT.
Independent, revolutionary Uranus in Aries is wired to wake us up, shake us & even shock us, ala high-frequency energy, manifesting in very unpredictable ways & means. Electrical Uranus suddenly disconnects us from what is familiar & known to what is unknown (and often uncomfortable for that reason). It also operates through intuition, inventiveness, originality, innovative technology & humanistic progressive actions just to list a few.
This liberating planetary sphere of the unknown bashes & crashes against the energies of Capricorn Pluto with it’s transformative intensity of destruction/ reconstruction, death/ rebirth, healing & cathartic purges (on any level). This results in a release of anything that is toxic, obstructs our growth, or has outlived its usefulness. From 2012 to 2015 we experience a total of 7 squares between these two outer planets, Uranus & Pluto… a major alignment…an on-going, constant, evolutionary process of expanding consciousness that happens not only within our solar system, but throughout the Universal Wholeness here, there & everywhere! The Sun at 4* rational, inquisitive, intelligent, airy Gemini exactly opposite our Full Moon at 4* jovial, expansive, visionary, fiery Sagittarius is also a partial Lunar Eclipse. This occurs when Earth is exactly in-between the Sun & Moon. (it will look like a bite is taken out of the Moon) This eclipse is like a cosmic doorway…a turning point & an opportunity for a spiritual/psychological breakthrough. Keep yourself grounded & be prepared to let something go…maybe an unconscious habit, a way of communicating, perhaps some long-held belief system…who knows?!?
The mentally alert Gemini part of us is very changeable, curious, versatile & communicative…always interested in the latest thing, somewhat restless, never content with boredom, poised for flight at all times. The Sun, Venus, Mercury (the home transmitter of Gemini) & Jupiter are all in Gemini during this Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse emphasizing ideas from diverse sources. The fine-tuned nervous system of this quick, flexible sign needs care not to burn out…rest, relaxation & being out in nature are all antidotes for stress.
The buoyant, optimistic, open-minded, wise Sagittarius part of us loves adventure & exploration, whether on the metaphysical, philosophical, higher-mind avenues while searching for truth, or in the physical journeys we take. Freedom-loving Sag may need to curb its enthusiasm & excessive expansion at times, as Jupiter, its home planet can easily overdo. “Nothing in Excess” is inscribed in the Sufi king’s ring!

We experience an Earthy Taurus New Moon/Solar Eclipse on Thursday evening, May 9th, 2013, at 7:28 pm, CDT. Sun & Moon sit together at 19*31 sensual, practical, possessive & artistic Taurus along with assertive Mars at 14* Taurus, South Node (path of least resistance) at 16* Taurus & communicator Mercury at 17* Taurus. Wow!
A whole lot of grounded, steady, calm & productive Earthiness may be just what we need…the stability of character & purpose, resourcefulness, patient perseverance, enduring affection & friendship & the healing touch of superabundant vitality sounds good… the seeds germinate underground during the New Moon phase of new beginnings, and if you choose, can potentially manifest these qualities wherever you go.
Taurus is the natural home of Venus, goddess of love, pleasure, values, beauty, harmony & self-worth; attracting whatever our 5 senses desire…as it operates in the tangible, material world. We’ve lived through two of these Uranus-Pluto exact squares in 2012, & will have four more, finishing up in 2015. The world as we know it will change whether we like it or not…in some ways healthier & life-affirming, some ways more destructively. I choose what is for my highest good (or my best effort), empowering myself by fusing with forces greater than my own ego.

Scorpio Full Moon & partial Lunar Eclipse, Thursday, April 25, 2013, 2:58 pm: our magnificent SUN at 5*46 stable, productive Taurus is exactly opposite the MOON at 5*46 powerful, passionate, intense Scorpio. This phase of the 8-part Moon cycle symbolizes the flowering of the seed…the peak of light & illumination…the vision carried forth.
Any Lunar Eclipse brings with it a tremendous influx of energy… we are upgrading our frequencies. The fact is that this one in magnetic, mysterious, extremist Scorpio (associated with destructive/revitalizing Pluto) reveals more potential complications in the innermost core of our being. Pluto dives into the depths of our unconscious, eliminating the obsolete, the outdated, the stagnation & decaying parts of self (or the material world). Of course our ego DOES NOT want to let go & will fight hard for its domination.
The Storm Begins
An Eclipse symbolizes a doorway into the unknown; Earth (representing the present) is now sitting in-between the Sun (future) & the Moon (past), temporarily blocking Sun’s light of consciousness from the emotional, responsive Moon; our emotions will be potently raw as old stuff surfaces…make space for the unexpected if you can. Issues of the past need to be cleared out in order to be better prepared for the on-going accelerating transformations. Try not to be overwhelmed. Balance with the aesthetic Taurus calmness…earthy, reliable, steadfast, patient, consistent, practical & productive.
Sometimes I have a sense like there is a loose, hungry tiger stalking prey around my neighborhood, ready to pounce out from behind a corner at any moment. Only my continuing alignment with the Creative Source alleviates my undercurrent of fear & stress.
Even Icicles are Changing
For those more astrologically active: During this Full Moon courageous, aggressive, warrior Mars at 4* is next to the 5*46 Taurus Sun & both are in opposition to cautious, structured, responsible Saturn that sits at 8* next to the 5*46 Scorpio Moon…Mars says “Go”, Saturn says “Stop”; at the end of April & the first two days of May these planets are in exact opposition, perhaps manifesting in frustration.
Keep in mind that underlying the Lunar Eclipse, as part of a greater planetary cycle, is the increasing strength & intensity of the struggle between 2 forces at cross purposes, the Uranus-Pluto square at 11*14 Aries/Capricorn, exact on May 20/21. Early Wednesday, April 10th, 2013, 4:36 AM, CDT: We have the jolt of an dynamic, initiating Aries New Moon with both Sun (conscious will) & Moon (emotions) at the exact same degree of 20*41 fiery, adventurous Aries. This is primetime for New Beginnings as confident Aries (symbolized by the Ram) is the first sign of our zodiac year comprised of 12 signs, starting this year when the Sun entered Aries on the Spring Equinox, March 20th, 2013.

The Full Moon represents a blossoming of the seeds planted in the New Moon conception phase. Everyone feels the Full Moon increase in energy, even animals. Our cellular structure is absorbing different high-frequency electromagnetic waves & we are changing like never before.
We have a stellium of 4 spheres, including Sun, together in the field of passionate, innovative Aries during this dynamic, forceful blast of cosmic power. New territory, bring it on!

Monday, February 25, 2013, 2:26 pm, CST: the emotional Moon at 7*24 disciplined, efficient Virgo is exactly opposite our conscious Sun at 7*24 impressionable, visionary Pisces during this blossoming Full Moon phase of the lunar cycle. Keep in mind that rational-biased Virgo is not known for being very emotional & Pisces represents the gentle, receptive, feeling part of us.
Joining the Sun at 7* Pisces is Chiron (healing) on one side at 9*, Mars (action) 18* & Mercury retrograde (intellect) 19* Pisces with Neptune (ruler of this sign) on the other side at 3* Pisces. Both Sun (conscious self) & Moon (unconscious self) are at 21*46 efficient, industrious, ambitious Capricorn along with Messenger of the Gods speedy Mercury close by at 17*42 serious & yet humorous Capricorn adding a dose of practical communication, aiding us in using our logic, intelligence & rational mind to begin something new & fresh. Its time to take responsibility in creating a new phase of existence…release habitual patterns (in thought & deed) & let old concerns/belief give way in your process of self-transformation.
Structures Along the Horizon
Complex, cathartic, power planet Pluto at 9*42 Capricorn & faster-moving sociable, harmonizing, affectionate Venus at 3* Capricorn emphasize this earthy, organized, authoritative, realistic, disciplined, cautious energy which enables patient & deliberate navigation of the mountain peaks in order to reach one’s goals. Five planets (I’m including the Sun & Moon) are moving within this electromagnetic field now.

Saturn is currently at 10* intense, self-contained, determined, deeply emotional Scorpio & this week has been challenged by feisty, courageous, assertive Mars in progressive, independent Aquarius saying GO when Saturn says Stop…very trying, but not long lasting.

It’s always at this time of year when I turn to my Reggae music…it helps me mentally, emotionally, spiritually (see “Marley” movie..out in 2012) & physically due to DANCING & LAUGHING!!! Bob Marley was an Aquarian by the way.
