Last Month’s Full Moon
A fiery Sagittarius Full Moon accompanies our Being on Thursday, June 12, 2014, 11:11pm, CDT. The Moon at 22*06 visionary Sagittarius is 180* opposite the rational Gemini Sun at 22*06. The Full Moon is the peak blossoming phase of the eight Moon phases; whatever energy was seeded during the New Moon phase is now visible in our lives…a creation of some sort. It also shows us where we will need to find a balance of the polarity between the two signs. Know when to talk, know when to listen.
Expansive, understanding, outspoken, generous Sag is on the search for life’s meaning, expressing faith, idealism, tolerance, wisdom & good will. Witty, alert, articulate, inquisitive & changeable Gemini speeds around in every direction, absorbing all that it sees, hears, feels, smells & tastes… then this airy sign communicates this information in a number of way & a variety of forms.

Abundant, adventurous Jupiter, our solar system’s largest transmitter, is the optimistic, enthusiastic Sagittarius home planet. Beware of moodiness, hypersensitivity & insecurities as much emotional content (current & old stuff) is now being processed & transformed.
The ruler of intelligent Gemini, is the data collector & the communicative Mercury, which is currently retrograde at 2* psychic, imaginative Cancer. Communications (spoken, felt, acted, expressed) with family of origin or those we consider our family, our security needs, how we nurture, our home base…is emphasized emotionally & spiritually. NEW MOON, Monday, December 2nd, 2013, 6:22 pm, CST: we will be in immersed in the expansive, fiery, adaptable Sagittarian electromagnetic energy field as we experience both the conscious Sun & instinctual Moon at the exact same degree of 10*59 optimistic, enthusiastic, visionary Sagittarius. A New Moon is always a time of new beginnings. What are your dreams? What seeds are you going to plant?
The symbol for intuitive, philosophical, open-minded Sagittarius is the archer aiming the arrow upward/outward toward great heights, aspiring for the “truth” & self-improvement. The well-known phrase here is “I see the goal, I reach the goal, and then I see another.” Very idealistic & hopeful.

Not only a seeker of the meaning of life… spontaneous, romantic Sag is also represented by the freedom-loving, somewhat wild, independent, adventurous & jovial centaur who often just wants to have fun!! Nothing in Excess are worthy Sufi words to keep in mind!
Traveling (in or out-of-body), the outdoors/nature (don’t fence me in!) & higher mind pursuits are very important to the Sag part of us, emphasized if it is your Sun sign, or Moon, Ascendant, planets in 9th house, etc. It has a place in everyone’s birth chart. Be aware of the underbelly of this sign possibly exposing opinionated attitudes, impracticality, tactlessness & extravagance.

Just 4 days after the exact challenging square between Uranus & Pluto on May 20th, we experience a Full Moon & Lunar Eclipse! The Sun at 4* Gemini is opposite the Full Moon at 4* Sagittarius on Friday, May 24th, 2013, 11:25 pm, CDT.
Independent, revolutionary Uranus in Aries is wired to wake us up, shake us & even shock us, ala high-frequency energy, manifesting in very unpredictable ways & means. Electrical Uranus suddenly disconnects us from what is familiar & known to what is unknown (and often uncomfortable for that reason). It also operates through intuition, inventiveness, originality, innovative technology & humanistic progressive actions just to list a few.
This liberating planetary sphere of the unknown bashes & crashes against the energies of Capricorn Pluto with it’s transformative intensity of destruction/ reconstruction, death/ rebirth, healing & cathartic purges (on any level). This results in a release of anything that is toxic, obstructs our growth, or has outlived its usefulness. From 2012 to 2015 we experience a total of 7 squares between these two outer planets, Uranus & Pluto… a major alignment…an on-going, constant, evolutionary process of expanding consciousness that happens not only within our solar system, but throughout the Universal Wholeness here, there & everywhere! The Sun at 4* rational, inquisitive, intelligent, airy Gemini exactly opposite our Full Moon at 4* jovial, expansive, visionary, fiery Sagittarius is also a partial Lunar Eclipse. This occurs when Earth is exactly in-between the Sun & Moon. (it will look like a bite is taken out of the Moon) This eclipse is like a cosmic doorway…a turning point & an opportunity for a spiritual/psychological breakthrough. Keep yourself grounded & be prepared to let something go…maybe an unconscious habit, a way of communicating, perhaps some long-held belief system…who knows?!?
The mentally alert Gemini part of us is very changeable, curious, versatile & communicative…always interested in the latest thing, somewhat restless, never content with boredom, poised for flight at all times. The Sun, Venus, Mercury (the home transmitter of Gemini) & Jupiter are all in Gemini during this Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse emphasizing ideas from diverse sources. The fine-tuned nervous system of this quick, flexible sign needs care not to burn out…rest, relaxation & being out in nature are all antidotes for stress.
The buoyant, optimistic, open-minded, wise Sagittarius part of us loves adventure & exploration, whether on the metaphysical, philosophical, higher-mind avenues while searching for truth, or in the physical journeys we take. Freedom-loving Sag may need to curb its enthusiasm & excessive expansion at times, as Jupiter, its home planet can easily overdo. “Nothing in Excess” is inscribed in the Sufi king’s ring!
Both of the above signs are adaptable & flexible, which is in high demand these days. It could be tempting to make unwise choices in order to deal with our confusing reality but focus on what you want MORE of in your life…NOW is all there is!

Thursday, December 13th, 2012, 2:42 am, CST: Here comes the enthusiastic Sagittarius New Moon, symbolic of new beginnings, with both the (consciousness) Sun & (instinctual) Moon at 21*45 in fiery, adventurous, inspirational, idealistic & freedom-loving Sagittarius. This electromagnetic field of energy relates to our need to explore & expand our horizons (mentally, physically, metaphysically); to our search for truth & meaning; developing our personal belief systems or life philosophy. The desire for expansion of awareness/consciousness can take us all over…the inner world &/or outer. Or way way way out.
The Archer takes aim..sees a goal, reaches that goal & then sees another. With both Sun & Moon in this sign we can experience higher sensory communications through vibrational wavelengths. Open-minded, optimistic Sagittarius, home territory of largest planet Jupiter (faith, hope, trust, good will, improvement), is also associated with “instant knowing” or the intuition which bypasses logical, left-brain type of knowledge. The urge to understand the bigger picture motivates us in our never-ending life adventure. Some people may express this less skillfully…coming across as opinionated, self-righteous, impractical or irresponsible.
