Trip to Seattle trumped Full Moon blog! September 11, 2014

~As Above So Below~

I had every intention to do a short Full Moon piece due to my annual Seattle trip to visit my daughter. However, as life goes, I needed to unexpectedly & immediately move my older sister into a “nursing home” right before my trip. Between these two adventures I somehow forgot to carry out my intention. I regret that, but here are some calming photos to help sooth the soul during these tumultuous times.

Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse-July 7th, 2009 July 6, 2009

Mother Nature's work

We have a potent Full Moon/ Lunar Eclipse in Cancer-Capricorn on Tuesday, July 7th, 2009, at 4:21am (CDT). The Sun is then at 15*24 Cancer 180 degrees away from the Moon at 15*24 Capricorn.

Sensitive CANCER is nurturing, protective, & sustaining, strongly tied to the past & the unconscious within us. It is the water sign of home, family, the “nest” & security issues. Ruled by the changeable Moon, the things felt but not seen, such as intuition, memories & emotions, are prime players in our current drama.

Structured Capricorn has the potential to be organized, responsible, practical, efficient, patient…..very grounded, unlike its opposite above. The status quo world, our social accomplishments & achievements are connected to Capricorn & it’s ruler Saturn. However don’t let fear grab hold of your imagination. Replace that with some positive thought.

When the Sun & Moon are exactly opposite each other, we experience particularly strong electromagnetic energies. Magnify that energy when a Full Moon is also a Lunar Eclipse with Earth (present) exactly in-between the Sun (future) & Moon (past) casting the Earth shadow upon our Moon.

Use this opportunity to be aware of and be willing to release, resolve, or heal any limiting, fearful, hypersensitive, stuck-in-the-past thoughts, patterns, beliefs, etc. about self &/or others. Loosely quoting Ram Dass, “if you think you are so enlightened, spend a week with your family ” which many of us probably did with the holiday. I personally had many judgmental thoughts pop up, but I usually caught myself, noticed what I was doing and did my best to change what kind of energy I was putting out….even if it was after the fact.

This summer we have two Cancer New Moons; the one in June at the first degree of Cancer and the upcoming New Moon/Solar Eclipse at 29* Cancer on July 21st. Along with this particular Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse, that’s ALOT of sensitivity, emotional drip and psychic receptivity. I’ve been drawn to water…drinking it,sitting by it, walking along it, wading into it…letting my right brain be refreshed.

Sagittarius Full Moon June 7th, 2009 June 5, 2009

Star Flowers

We have the polarity of fiery Sagittarius opposite airy Gemini activated & energized during this Full Moon on Sunday, June 7th, 2009 at 1:13pm CDT.

Moon is at 17* Sag exactly opposite Sun at 17* Gemini and both are making a difficult square to Saturn which represents the status quo & the structures in our world. Do you feel the tension?! Gemini deals with the nervous system & both signs can be restless, even impatient.

The Full Moon time is one of symbolic flowering and illumination in the natural cycle of the moon. The Sun (radiation of conscious light) in the fast-paced, flexible, changeable Gemini frequency expresses through communications & perceptions. How do we perceive & communicate? Linking up with others? The Moon (unconscious responses immersed in emotions) in Sagittarius affects how we choose to explore, expand & how we think &/or believe. This is a recipe for wanting to share the adventure!

The square to Saturn brings in more of that resistance to change we have created…trust yourself to take another leap of faith. Sometimes I get stuck and am not sure what to do…that’s when I put my faith lever into full gear. I think dancing helps too.

On May 6th, transiting MERCURY turns retrograde at 2* Gemini until it moves direct at 23* Taurus on May 30th.

This potentially affects communications and travel. The retro phase can signify breakdowns in any form of communicating and mechanical/technological workings. Relax..don’t let anxieties build up. Do the reviewing, refining, reorganizing instead and remember, there are many layers we are experiencing here. Like  the longer transit of  Saturn opposing Uranus which is still in effect through 2010. Our structures, even mental ones, are being changed big-time now, sometimes radically & dramatically. (see previous posts on these two)

Find ways to deal with frustrations of details and the daily stress, keeping the larger picture in mind during these inevitable shifts.

On Friday, May 8th at 11:01pm, CDT, the Scorpio Moon is absolutely Full. The Sun is at 18*40 Taurus exactly opposite the Moon at 18*40 Scorpio. Transformation is the keyword during this one. Our deepest desires and our deepest fears are activated.  Think of all the positive changes you want in your life…send energy to those images…replace any negative thought with 3 things you’re grateful for. No photos this time….just pure info! Remember, everyone has all the signs & planets in their birth chart, but some may be more activated by particular transits, depending on their data.

On Thursday, April 9th, 2009, at 9:56am (CDT) we have the Sun at 19*53′ Aries opposite the Moon at 19*53′ Libra; spontaneous, passionate action vs. tactful, diplomatic cooperation.

The contradiction of these two luminaries, which happens on any Full Moon, can be skillfully applied only if the polar opposite qualities of Aries & Libra are somehow integrated and both expressed.

Independent Aries operates in a pioneering, risk-taking, initiating, confident, direct, enthusiastic, daring, assertive & fearless mode. it naturally revolves around the self. Aries can inspire!

Mediating Libra has a need to cooperate, to create beauty, harmony, balance and partnership in a sharing, relating, social, considerate, gregarious, refined manner. “We” is more important than the “me”. Libra wants to please!

This Full Moon has an open channel to the powers of intuitive perception, sensitive compassion, and wholistic healing if one is open to connecting with the Divine.

There is also an abundance of crisscrossed transmitting energies involving Mars, which is the planet associated with Aries, and Saturn. Mars says “go!”…Saturn says “stop.” What will we each experience? We shall see as this cosmic story unfolds. On April 15th Mars will be at the same degree as unpredictable Uranus.. sudden change.

It is a fact that there is energy galore during a full moon and many have been feeling unnamed, shifting transmissions lately…myself included. (Not strange to hear of 6.3 earthquake in Italy, 4+ earthquake off Venezuelan coast, eruption of volcano in Chile, and another from the Alaskan volcano…all in one day. Then another good sized quake off coast of Japan 24 hrs later.)

New Moon: new beginnings. Aries: new beginnings…double the fun!
Thursday, March 26th, 2009, we experience an inspiring, daring, enthusiastic, childlike Aries New Moon with Sun & Moon together (conjunct) at six degrees of fiery Aries.

This moment in time relates to initiating a new cycle..the planting of new seeds, which are soon ready to emerge from the unconscious and project themselves out into the world. It is inherent in the active Aries nature to plunge into new experiences spontaneously and courageously.

Our confident, forceful & assertive fire sign, also the sign of Spring, is considered the first of 12 electromagnetic fields: number one! That sense of being first never leaves the Aries part of us. (watch out for selfishness). This is the headstrong, competitive, fearless energy, associated with planet Mars, which indicates our capacity to initiate, act & assert ourselves based on personal desire. Mars….also the god of war.

The goddess of love…Venus, which is currently retrograde (see previous blog) is sitting on one side of this independent New Moon, with Mercury, the communicator, on the other side; all four of these spheres are stressfully aspected by Pluto which is at the beginning of structured Capricorn.

Pluto deals in big-time reconstruction, renovation…breaking down & rebuilding on any and all levels, physical/emotional/mental…take at look at yourself first & be open to the transformation that is happening whether you like it or not…allow the purging, healing, cleansing to proceed. Cooperate with the evolutionary process of regeneration…death of what no longer serves us well and rebirth of the new being. The ego is undergoing tremendous pressure now to change…to let go. Pluto represents self-empowerment and changes in the management of power.

Perfect time during this Aries New Moon to begin fresh…to have a new start…to break free from old strangleholds on your spirit. And with that springtime feeling, I brought my bike in to be tuned up! Whoopie!

Venus...To Love or Not to Love

On March 6th our sister planet Venus, goddess of Love, is turning retrograde at 15* Aries and will be moving in this apparent backward direction until April 18th when she moves direct at 29* Pisces.

This means 12 weeks total of feminine, receptive Venus, sphere of peace, harmony, beauty & relating, in the electromagnetic energy field of bold, risk-taking, active Aries (minus a few days when it dips back into the end of Pisces).

Get ready to review how you relate to others, how you create harmony & balance in your life, and take another look at who and /or what it is that you value. Retrograde periods are always open for redoing/ reviewing/ renewing…think of the re-words. Personal relationships, partnerships, attractions, social urges, (what feeds one’s need for closeness & helps one feel loved & appreciated), the arts and your values could be up for renovation during these few weeks.

We have the Pisces/Virgo Full Moon on March 10, 2009 which is bound to be interesting, especially with Venus retrograde. More info on that soon to appear on this most amazing blog!  (humor)

Oh yes, I included my beautiful cats because they are learning to love each other; The big 8 yr.old male on top, who’s only been with us for 6 months,  really digs the 13 yr.old female sitting below.  She is playing it cool but I see progress!

Goddess-God Energy

This is my first blog & it will undoubtedly be changing even faster than I’m changing.

Today is a New Moon at 2:58PM CDT. Sun & Moon are both exactly 7+ degrees of Virgo which indicates a time of new beginnings in the practical, down-to-Earth style of observant clarity & the discerning processing of perceptions.

The Virgo part of each of us wants to heal the imbalances within our body/mind connection efficiently as we continually move through our changes toward wholeness. Saturn, now sitting right next to Sun & Moon, adds qualities of self-discipline, organization & purposefulness to encourage us in our growth. Patience is definitely a plus! A sense of humor helps too.
