Sunday, August 10, 2014, 1:09 pm, CDT: The conscious Yang energy of our Sun at 18* self-expressive, flamboyant Leo is exactly 180* opposite the instinctual Yin energy of the Moon at 18* non-conventional, spontaneous, tolerant Aquarius during this Full Moon. The Sun, perfectly at home in creative, charismatic & commanding Leo, operates quite vibrantly in its own electromagnetic field.
Aquarius is the electrical air sign, not known for being very emotional. It is associated with Uranus-the uncertainty principle-which symbolizes the instant, unpredictable, out-of-the-blue changes that operate in our lives…sometimes more personal depending on your chart & the transits, but Uranus, along with other outer planets, can indicate impersonal changes that occur on Earth such as those major events/transformations that are affecting multitudes of sentient Beings. The freedom-loving, rebellious, individualizing, outlaw Uranus also manifests as genius, invention, imagination, innovation & the instant knowing that we call intuition…it’s like a direct line to another frequency which totally bypasses the mental realm. Uranus at 16* Aries is beneficially aspecting three personal transmitters; communicator Mercury at 20* Leo, the Sun (the evolving higher self) & the Moon (the unconscious sensitive & responsive self) at 18* Leo & Aquarius respectively during this Full Moon time. Aquarius Goes its Own Way
A New Moon time…birth of something new, fresh, innovative…an idea, a behavior, an attitude, a creation. The seeds are planted although we don’t see the results yet…the dark & unseen possibilities. The Moon (the unconscious) is conjunct our Sun (consciousness) at 10*55 intuitive, friendly, humanitarian, innovative, universal & revolutionary Aquarius on Thursday, January 30th, 2014, 3:38 pm, CST.
The electric, genius, radical disruptor Uranus, now at 9* Aries, is associated with communicative air-sign Aquarius. This is the transmitter that can shock us, shake us up & wake us up! It illuminates like a bolt of lightning. Meet the challenge & expect the unexpected while being calm, loving, giving & sharing.
Both Sun & Moon together in the New Moon phase emphasize the originality, the future-oriented, progressive, tolerant & inventive Aquarian qualities. Each of us has this sign somewhere in our natal birthchart; depending upon the birth data, some have stronger Aquarian energy than others. There may be times that the aloofness, detachment, inconsistency, unpredictability & opinionative nature of this independent freedom-loving rebel can be hard to take. Self-awareness, moderation & balance are key.

Social, sensual Venus retrograde at 13*34 earthy Capricorn is currently conjunct (sitting right next to) complex, cathartic Pluto at 12*17 Capricorn. This describes extreme intensity & transformation, possibly unbalanced passion, in areas of partnerships, relationships, harmonizing & peacemaking for people, countries, ideologies, etc. Venus turns Direct (moving forward) on Jan. 31st…therefore January 31st & Feb 1st, 2014, are as close as Venus & Pluto get to each other until they are conjunct again in Feb. 2019.
I like the line in the AVICII song “Wake Me Up” that says “life is a game made for everyone and LOVE is the prize”.
Expansive, philosophical, optimistic Jupiter retrograde at 12*21 emotional, protective Cancer AND sudden-change artist Uranus at 9*24 assertive, daring, spontaneous Aries do a big-time challenge to our dynamic duo Venus/Pluto during this New Moon.

Thunder God

Full Moon on Tuesday evening: we are immersed in an intuitive, freedom-loving Aquarius Full Moon on August 20, 2013, 8:45pm, CDT with Sun (consciousness) at 28* fiery Leo exactly opposite Moon (the unconscious) at 28* airy Aquarius. This regular cyclical exact opposition between the two Lights, which occurs sometimes 13 x a year, is part of that grander design of the Cosmos, offering us major opportunities to continue to evolve, becoming more of who we truly are. I prefer the term “Beings of Light”.
Notice that this is the 2nd Aquarius Full Moon this summer; we had one in early Aquarius (0*06) in July.
Serenity
Mercury our speedy planet of the rational, logical, communicative mind, at 24* Leo, is very close to our Sun now. Neptune, the universal cosmic solvent, at mystical, sensitive 4* Pisces sits right next to the Full Moon at the end of Aquarius, adding its deep source of the spiritual, psychic, creative inspiration & imagination. This nebulous transmitter always expresses through the feeling nature & symbolizes the desire to reunite with something greater than the self. On the other hand, the God of the Sea also represents illusion, deception, drugs & confusion. Music, dance, art & photography are my favorite Neptunian expressions.
Our Sun represents the the will, vitality & center of Self; it is most powerful & dynamic in self-confident, radiant, courageous Leo. We all have Leo somewhere in our natal birthchart, even if we aren’t actually Leo’s (those born at the time the transiting Sun is traveling through the electromagnetic field of Leo).
Be Like a Cloud & Rise Above It
Intuitive Uranus, the transmitter of sudden change, disruption & revolutionary vision, is naturally associated with progressive, rebellious, spontaneous Aquarius; liberating Uranus, which is very unpredictable (like an earthquake, tornado, extreme winds or a strike of lightning) operates along unexpected lines & blows apart our status quo reality. You could say we are getting a message from the Cosmos that things are stagnant & need to change…. either personally & definitely collectively.
During the Full Moon erratic Uranus is challenged by a 90* angle from expansive Jupiter at 12* emotional Cancer. Jupiter’s concepts of right/wrong, justice, ethics, morality, faith, positivism, optimism, abundance, growth, increase & exaggeration can remind us not to overdo anything…Nothing In Excess is a worthy phrase to pay attention to.
Jupiter in Cancer is also now opposing Pluto in Capricorn creating polarization. Outer events stimulate this interaction & integration of both forces is important. At the same time Uranus is in that stressful square aspect with Pluto (will be exact in a bit over 2 months….Oct 31/ Nov 1st). Compromising Libra holds the key; cooperative, tactful, diplomatic, impartial, considerate, while seeking harmony, beauty & balance & relating to others.

Monday, July 22, 2013, 1:17 pm, CDT: Aquarius Full Moon with Sun in the 1st degree of radiant Leo 180* opposite Moon in the 1st degree of brilliant Aquarius! I feel the electricity in the air and also in my heart. The full moon phase is the peak of the lunar cycle…a time of illumination & flowering. Although the emotional, instinctive, receptive Full Moon in original, independent, friendly, mentally-oriented Aquarius may think more about feelings rather than deeply feeling them, a balance is always desirable in integrating the two opposite electromagnetic energy fields within us.
The exalted Sun of consciousness is very powerful in enthusiastic, creative, dramatic, fiery Leo, its home sign. Leo is heart centered & has potential to be a charismatic Lover of life as long as the desire for the love of power becomes the power of love.
During this Full Moon both Sun in Leo & Moon in Aquarius are in a challenging aspect to serious, restrictive Saturn (the Teacher) in early, transforming, mysterious, complex Scorpio. All three signs can be very stubborn; however use the wisdom, patience & self-discipline of Saturn to aid you in times of stress with qualities of endurance, caution, responsibility & focus. Beware of letting fears & worry escalate to the point of unhealthiness. This is another primetime healing opportunity….onward to wholeness!
Concentrated Saturn in cathartic Scorpio is harmoniously aspecting intangibile Neptune in unifying Pisces & also the conjunction of expansive Jupiter with courageous Mars in nurturing Cancer; forming a flowing Grand Trine in all the sensitive, psychic, imaginative & emotional water signs. The Grand Trine symbolizes a cosmic design which offers help to alleviate the increasing intensity we all experience.
Speaking of intensity, Uranus at 9*25 Aries will be exactly square Pluto at 9*25 Capricorn (see sidebar) for the for the 4th time Oct. 31st/Nov. 1st.
The Aquarian symbol looks like waves but they are electrical air waves.
I still had to run down to Lake Superior to absorb the WAVES!!! Photos do not do them justice but I like to share anyway…imagine the sounds of gigantic waves crashing onto the rocks high into the air! perfect.
